Step 1's PokerCruncher
GetJar page lists
compatible phone models. If your phone isn't listed that doesn't mean it
can't run PokerCruncher. If your phone can run Java games/apps then it can
most probably run PokerCruncher.
Advantages Of Free Demo Version And
Registration Model
You can make sure that PokerCruncher installs
and runs cleanly on your mobile phone and that you like PokerCruncher,
free of charge with zero risk. You can then purchase a registration to
upgrade to the full version and unleash the full power of PokerCruncher.
License Agreement
Please read PokerCruncher's License Agreement,
which covers both the demo version and registered version.
Compact, Generic,
Device-Independent Software
PokerCruncher doesn't access the phone's
filesystem or contacts or SIM card, doesn't use the phone's internet, or
do other similar things that would complicate matters. It's interested
mainly in doing some serious number crunching directly on your phone. So
PokerCruncher doesn't require any JSR-s
(additional Java API-s) on top of MIDP 2.0. Also PokerCruncher's user
interface (including the graphs it draws) is
designed to function well and look good on phone screens of all sizes.
The Small Screen Mode setting also helps with this. As a result PokerCruncher will run smoothly on the majority of mobile phones currently being
sold.
Features Available In The Demo
Version
The purpose of the demo version is to
let you see PokerCruncher running on your mobile phone and to give you a
taste of PokerCruncher's abilities. The demo version has most of the
basic features but many of the more advanced features are disabled.
The demo version's odds calculator supports any number of players, specific, random, dead cards, and
calculates the
basic odds and stats (win/loss/tie odds, hand histograms). But cards
8,9,T are disabled except in odds tests, the number of hands to simulate is set to
just 100 (the full version can simulate thousands to calculate accurate odds and stats), and complete enumeration is turned off.
Also hand ranges and partial simulation are disabled.
Also, only the first built-in odds test (PreFlop->Basic) is
enabled and only a few library screens are enabled. (We have to give you a reason to upgrade right?)
Even with these restrictions the demo version's
odds calculator is useful and
gives you more stats (e.g. hand histograms) than some other odds
calculators, including online and website calculators. Also you can run one of the built-in odds tests
and explore a few library screens, features you won't find in other odds
calculators.
Does PokerCruncher Run On The iPhone?
